The U-16 Indonesian national team will appear in the 2024 AFF U-16 Cup (doc. PSSI).

JAKARTA - The U-16 Indonesian national team will start the struggle in the 2024 AFF U-16 Cup or ASEAN Championship U-16 which will start on June 21, 2024. In this tournament, Indonesia was asked to host, where all matches will be held in Solo.

During the 2024 AFF U-16 Cup in Solo, two stadiums were appointed as venues, namely Sriwedari Stadium and Manahan Stadium. With the status of being the host, Indonesia U-16 is in Group A with Laos, the Philippines, and Singapore.

In the inaugural Group A match, Indonesia U-16 will first meet Singapore. The match will be held at Manahan Stadium on Friday, June 21, 2024, at 19.30 WIB.

After serving Singapore in the opening match, Nova Arianto's team will continue their adventure against the Philippines at Manahan Stadium on Monday, June 24, 2024. Three days later, Indonesia U-16 faced Laos in the same stadium.

In this group stage, the U-16 Indonesian national team will try to give their best performance. You see, Nova Arianto's troops are aiming to qualify for the 2024 AFF U-16 Cup semifinals. This means that they must finish as group winners or runners-up.

Nova Arianto as the head coach has appointed 23 players who will be the team's ammunition in navigating the 2024 AFF U-16 Cup.

From the list of names that have been released since Wednesday, June 19, 2024, Nova Arianto confirmed that his squad will receive additional strength from two diaspora players, namely Mathew Baker Sitorus and Lucas Raphael Lee.
