JAKARTA - The Premier League has brought up a drama. It's not about the match, this time it's related to trophies.

The Sun reports that half of Premier League trophies worth 250 thousand pounds or around Rp. 5.1 billion were stolen.

The Belgian thief stole a suitcase containing the Premier League crown and trophy mat. However, the theft escaped the spotlight.

Premier League bosses managed to hide the theft so that it never smelled. Until now, these items have never been found.

However, like hiding a carcass, the theft case was finally revealed when Premier League officials announced the schedule for the new season or 2024/2025 between Manchester United hosting Fulham on August 16, 2024.

Asprey London, the trophy maker, was asked to produce crowns and other similar bases after theft by the end of 2022.

In 1966, four months before the World Cup began in England, the famous Jules Rimet Cup was stolen in London.
