Beat Scotland 5-1, Nagelsmann Takjub Sendiri Dengan Gaya Permainan Jerman

JAKARTA - German national team coach Julian Nagelsmann admitted that he was amazed by the play of his foster children when they beat Scotland with a score of 5-1 in the opening match of Euro 2024 Group A at the Allianz Arena Stadium, Munich, Saturday morning WIB.

Through the official UEFA website, Saturday, Nagelsmann explained Germany could perform well in the first 20 minutes and they could create two goals.

"I will accept this (result) if someone offers it to me before the game. The first 20 minutes are very good," said Nagelsmann, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, June 15.

The former Bayern Munich coach continued that Scotland seemed reluctant to play out, even though Germany had already scored two goals.

Despite being able to secure a landslide score, Nagelsmann explained that Germany was faced with a big challenge because it had to dismantle the Scottish tight defense.

"Scotland showed respect for us and may have shown us more after we scored our first two goals," explained Nagelsmann.

"The first goal was especially played very well. It was not easy to score goals because there were many Scottish players in the way. The important thing was that we scored a lot of goals," he concluded.

Thanks to this result, Germany is now ranked first in the Euro 2024 Group A standings with three points from one match, while Scotland is in the caretaker position.

Furthermore, Germany only needs to secure three points from the remaining two matches, namely the Hungarian (19/6) or Swiss (24/6) for bjsa to ensure that they advance to the next round.
