Dia mengungkapkan bahwa tiga sektor yang memiliki kesempatan paling besar untuk mendapat medali di Paris nanti adalah tunggal putri, tunggal putra, dan ganda putra.
"Without putting aside women's doubles and mixes, they have a chance. So, it's just a matter of whether players want or not to get the best at the 2024 Paris Olympics," he said.
Badminton is doubtful about being able to bring home a medal from Paris due to six representatives who have confirmed that they have passed shows their performance has decreased recently.
Most recently, the six representatives appeared at the Indonesia Open 2024 which only ended on Sunday, June 9, 2024. In that event, none of them could step on the top party.
Of the six representatives, the furthest journey in the tournament was only obtained by Gregoria Mariska Tunjung. The women's singles can enter the quarter-finals.
Meanwhile, one of the farthest representatives reached the second half through the women's doubles pair Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti. The rest, four others, ran aground in the first half.
The four representatives who fell early were the men's singles duo Anthony Sinisuka Ginting and Jonatan Christie as well as the mixed doubles Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari and the men's doubles Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto.
