Ketum PSSI Remind Supporters Of The Menpora Cup: Don't Go To The Stadium, Nobar And Gather

JAKARTA - PSSI Chairman Mochamad Iriawan asked the club to keep reminding its supporters not to come to the stadium when the 2021 Menpora Cup pre-season tournament rolled around.

"I entrust him to the managers, of course, also leave it to the supporters to comply with the rules that have been stated by the government," said Iriawan after the draw for the Menpora Cup group in Jakarta, Monday reported by Antara.

"You don't have to watch in the stadium, you don't have to be proud, you don't have to hang out in groups," he added.

The arrival of supporters at the stadium is one of the things that is prohibited during the Menpora Cup. Apart from that, PSSI and PT LIB also prohibited the activities of watching together or watching events and crowding around the stadium.

Therefore, the Menpora Cup participating clubs are asked to continue to socialize invitations to watch movies at home. The reason is, if this rule is violated, it will have an impact on the fate of Indonesian football competition which has been struggling so hard to get back on track.

"So hopefully this will be a good start for Indonesian football, where we have been allowed by the government and the National Police. The next Menpora Cup will be an assessment for the competition to roll back, "said Iriawan.

He hopes that compliance with protocol in the two trial matches for the national team for the preparation of the SEA Games at the Gelora Bung Karno Intermediate Stadium last weekend can also be applied in the Menpora Cup pre-season tournament which will be held on March 21.

It is not impossible if the Menpora Cup is successfully held with a disciplined health protocol, the opportunity to roll back League 1 and League 2 according to him will be even wider.

The Menpora Cup 2021 will be joined by 18 Liga 1 teams. The tournament opens on March 21, while the closing match is scheduled for April 25.

There are four cities that will hold the 2021 Menpora Cup group phase, namely Solo, Bandung, Sleman and Malang.

The home team will not play in their respective homes. This was decided as a consideration in order to avoid friction between supporters.
