Overthrow LA Clippers, Dallas Mavericks Jumps To West Region Semifinals

JAKARTA - Dallas Mavericks continued their steps to the semifinals of the Western Region NBA after winning from LA Clippers. They won pretty convincingly with a score of 4-2.

This sweet victory took place in the sixth game 114-110 at Texas's American Airlines Center Dallas, Saturday.

Luka Doncic contributed 28 points and 13 assists, Kyrie Irving scored 28 of his 30 points in the second half, PJ Washington 14 points, and Daniel Gafford 13 points.

Doncic went through the match with a poor shot accuracy because his right knee was problematic, which made the accuracy of the 2024 NBA top scorer's three-point shot drop drastically from the average.

Doncic always failed in his seven three-point shot effort in the first half and he only recorded three-point shot accuracy of 10 percent, one in 10 during the match.

"We pushed each other off the pitch to be better and when we were on the pitch, it was like synchronizity," Kyrie Irving said as quoted by ANTARA from the NBA website, Saturday, May 4.

Paul George contributed 18 points and 11 rebounds to the Clippers who won their first two games without Kawi Leonard in the series.

The top score of the Clippers was scored by substitute Norman Powell with 20 points. James Harden added 16 points and 13 assists, Ivica Zubac 17 points and 11 rebounds, and Terance Mann 14 points.

With this victory, Mavericks will compete with NBA standings number one Oklahoma City Thunder, which is full of young players and has a bit of experience in the playoffs.
