Shin Tae-yong Won't Be Half-hearted When Facing South Korea U-23

As is known, Indonesia U-23 and South Korea U-23 are hunting for a place in the semifinals for the opportunity to appear at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Seeing this, Shin Tae-yong confirmed his commitment to see Indonesia U-23 perform at the 2024 Paris Olympics rather than 'give way' to South Korea U-23.

"Indeed, what is my current position? That means which head of state coach? My position is now the head of Indonesia coach," said Shin Tae-yong when asked about his commitment.

However, initially Shin Tae-yong wanted to meet South Korea U-23 in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup final in order to qualify together for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

However, the match was unpredictable. In fact, the meeting between Garuda Muda and Taegeuk Warriors has occurred in the quarter-finals.

"Like what was discussed to the South Korean media, to be honest I wanted to meet Japan U-23. You see, I wanted to meet South Korea U-23 in the final so I could qualify together for the 2024 Paris Olympics."

"It's great to join the Olympics together. As we all know the game can't be done by us. So, we will work hard to prepare against South Korea U-23," said Shin Tae-yong.

Shin Tae-yong is currently focusing on targeting a ticket target to the 2024 Paris Olympics for Indonesia U-23. He admitted that he was confident, especially since the team's preparation was longer than South Korea U-23.
