Cagliari Postpones Inter Milan Scudetto Party

JAKARTA - Inter Milan were forced to postpone the Scudetto party after a 2-2 draw against Cagliari in the Italian Serie A match at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium, Monday, April 15, 2024 in the morning WIB.

Inte failed to win in the home game so it could not be sure to win the league title for the 20th time. Winning first, but Inter conceded a goal through Nicolas Viola who equalized the score.

An additional one point makes Inter pocket 83 points. Simone Inzaghi's team is already 14 points ahead with second place AC Milan who drew 3-3 against Sassuolo.

However, Milan mathematically still makes it possible to catch up with Inter because the competition still leaves six games left. With Milan's record of having to win all the remaining matches because Inter are already far ahead. The two teams will meet in the Derby della Madonnina, April 23, 2024 in the morning WIB. This will be the determination of the two teams. Inter will win the league if they win in the derby.

In the match against Cagliari, striker Marcus Thuram put Inter ahead. He scored with a shot from close range after finishing Alexis Sanchez's pass in the 12th minute.

Winning 1-0, Inter became more aggressive in suppressing Cagliari's defense. Midfielder Nicolo Barella actually has the opportunity to increase his advantage after his header penetrated the opponent's goal.
