Nasrullo Kabirov Leads The Opening Match Of The 2024 U-23 Asian Cup Indonesian U-23 National Team U-23 Vs Qatar

Nasrullo Kabirov leads the Indonesia U-23 vs Qatar (doc. AFC) match.

JAKARTA - The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) confirmed that Nasrullo Kabirov will lead the opening match of the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup between the U-23 vs Qatar Indonesian national team at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium, Monday, April 15, 2024.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 18.30 local time or 22.30 western Indonesia time.

The opening match of Group A will mark Kabirov's official debut in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup. The referee from Tajikistan will be accompanied by two assistant referees, namely Vafo Karaev and Hasan Karimov (Tajikistan).

Then, Mooud Bonyadifard from Iran was appointed as the fourth referee official.

Kabirov has been a FIFA referee since 2013 and has led the AFC competition since 2017. He leads the match in the 2023 Asian Cup, U-17 Asian Cup and Asian Cup Qualifiers.

In addition, Kabirov also serves as the fourth official in the Asian Champions League. Nasrullo Kabirov also appears regularly leading the Tajikistan League.

His work has been recognized. Kabirov has also been the referee for the 2018 Asian Games in the 2018 Asian Games and Vietnam's 31st SEA Games in 2021.

Apart from that, the opening match of the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup also features Thai duo, Sivakorn Pu-Udom and Torphong Somsing, as video assistant referee (VAR) and assistant VAR. Meanwhile, Alireza Idol from Iran is an assistant reserve referee. The sixth edition of the U-23 Asian Cup was held for the second time in Qatar and took place between April 15 and May 3, 2024.

A total of 16 contestants will compete for glory. The top three teams will ensure their place for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

While the fourth-ranked team can win tickets to Paris via a playoff against Guinea on May 9, 2024.
