Mike Tyson Back Help Francis Ngannou Before Dealing With Anthony Joshua?

JAKARTA - Francis Ngannou is undergoing intensive training ahead of his fight against Anthony Joshua on March 8, 2024 in Saudi Arabia. He said Mike Tyson would look back at the grand duel.

The former undisputed heavyweight champion did help Ngannou prepare himself when he debuted in international boxing against Tyson Fury last year.

The Cameroonian boxer admits he has undergone major changes since being handled by Mike Tyson at the training camp.

The proof is, he could bring down Fury despite losing a separate decision in the October 2023 fight.

Now, Ngannou is waiting for Mike Tyson's arrival at his training team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

"To be honest with this fight since I trained here (Riyadh), we haven't brought Mike Tyson here."

"He entered three times (ahead of Tyson Fury's opponent). He gave more advice. He will come and watch our training (at this time). He will be here to give advice," Ngannou said as reported by The Sun.

Ngannou surprised the boxing world after being able to knock Fury out on his debut. His confidence also increased ahead of Joshua's fight. Especially if Mike Tyson returns to help Ngannou in training.

The 37-year-old boxer has even boasted that he can beat Joshua with a knockout.

"If AJ takes the shot I gave Fury, I don't guarantee he will survive. I've heard that he doesn't have a chin. I'll find out," Ngannou told MMA Fighting.

"Never say no. Nothing is impossible. We don't know Anthony Joshua's strength. Even though I don't believe he has that power, we will find out. You will take his soul," he said again.

Psywar Ngannou was immediately dismissed by Joshua. He insisted the surprise made by the Cameroonian boxer would stop.

"France has lost its element of surprise. We know Francis has a reputation as the greatest boxer in the world, but how good is he boxing?" said Joshua.

The fight with Joshua became the second boxing duel for Francis Ngannou. Previously, Ngannou became the star of the UFC by defending the heavyweight title in January 2022.
