Podsi And Perbakin Get IDR 19.8 Billion Allotment For 2024 Olympic Qualification

The signing of the Kemenpora fund disbursement cooperation with PB Perbakin and PB Podsi for the 2024 Olympic qualification (Cosmas Kopong Beda/VOI).

JAKARTA The Indonesian Shooting Association (Perbakin) and the Indonesian Rowing Association (Podsi) received a total of IDR 19.8 billion for the 2024 Paris Olympics qualifiers.

The Minister of Youth and Sports, Dito Ariotedjo, together with representatives of the two sports signed this collaboration at the Kemenpora Office, Jakarta, Thursday, February 29, 2024, afternoon WIB.

"This afternoon, cooperation was signed, among others, PB Perbakin which was directly signed by the General Chair and Podsi which was signed by the Secretary General," said Dito.

Previously, the Ministry of Youth and Sports had previously disbursed funds worth IDR 61.5 billion for 11 sports. These two sports followed because they had just completed the administration.

Dito explained that the amount of funds received by these two branches was different. Podsi received Rp13.9 billion, while Perbakin received Rp5.9 billion.

"Certainly, our hope is that by disbursing funds, the projects that have been projected for the 2024 Paris Olympics can pass the athletes," said Dito.

The shooting sport currently has one athlete who gets a ticket to Paris. The ticket was pocketed by athlete Fathur Gustafian.

Fathur confirmed that he qualified for the world's most widespread multi-event from the 2024 Asian Rifle/Pistol Championship championship which took place at Senayan Shooting Field, Jakarta, in January 2024.
