Apri/Fadia There Is An Opportunity For A Gold Medal At The 2024 Paris Olympics

JAKARTA The former women's doubles specialist, Greysia Polii, assessed that Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti had the opportunity to win at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Greysia said the power of the women's doubles number is currently evenly distributed. Although China still dominates, in this sector there are already strengths from Japan, Korea, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

"Making women's doubles is increasingly difficult to guess who won, including Apri/Fadia. They can also win," said Greysia when met at the PBSI Cipayung National Training Center.

The Indonesian women's doubles number is the defending champion of the Olympics. The medal was won at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics by Apriyani when she was paired with retired Greysia Polii.

Apriyani's status as an Olympic gold medalist made the expectations of the Indonesian people for her at the 2024 Paris Olympics are clearly getting bigger.

Greysia said Apri would not be burdened with such great hopes. He emphasized that his former colleague was one of the athletes who always tried to bring out all the best abilities.

"When I talk to him, he is not a burden, but rather a motivation to beat himself and achieve continuously. So, I think he always tries to bring out his best abilities," he said.

"Whatever the result will be, I feel it is his best effort. So far, I have seen and monitored, he always wants to do his best," said Greysia.

Badminton has been the backbone of Indonesia to win an Olympic gold medal. This sport is the most successful in Indonesia's history in the world's largest multi-event.
