JAKARTA - The boss of Red Bull Racing, Christian Horner, is still under investigation regarding the sexual harassment case against his employees in the big Formula One (F1) team.

The Dutch newspaper, De Telegraaf, said it had seen sexually oriented messages that were at the heart of the investigation.

De Telegraaf melanjutkan bahwa Horner diduga mengirim pesan berorientasi seksual kepada karyawan perempuan tersebut dalam jangka panjang lama.

The messages are said to have been stored and presented as evidence to the external team's attorney who carried out the investigation after the woman (victim) filed a complaint in December 2023.

In fact, De Telegraaf claims Horner's lawyer tried to solve the case by bribing the woman, but it failed to materialize because senior Red Bull management learned of this.

Horner finally opened his voice regarding the case. He again strongly denied the allegations.

When interviewed during the launch of Red Bull's latest car to navigate F1 2024, RB20 2024, Horner emphasized that the investigation was only focused on alleged control behavior in the workplace.

In addition, he also revealed that no suspension came from Red Bull for both Horner and the woman's employees.

They are still working among 1,500 staff at the England Red Bull Racing headquarters in Milton Keynes, Bucks.

"There are several accusations made, which I completely deny, so that the investigation is carried out in the background while preparing for next season and hopefully it will be completed in the near future," Horner said at the launch of the new Red Bull Racing car, Thursday, February 15, 2024.

Horner further chose to focus on preparing the team to achieve maximum results in F1 2024.

The distraction, according to the Red Bull boss, did not interfere with his team. In fact, all Horner's men at Red Bull support him in order to get out of this problem.

"There must be a disturbance, but the team is very compact. Everyone is focused on next season. So, everything is going as usual and the support is extraordinary."

"In a situation like this, you see where the strength and support I get from inside the team is extraordinary."

"The drivers are very good, the partners are amazing," Horner said at The Sun.

Meanwhile, Horner's rebuttal was strengthened by one of Red Bull's sources that there was no issue of firing the boss or asking to resign.

"Christian (Horner) has not been fired or asked to resign and will not resign," the source told The Sun.
