Pratama Arhan Select Number 23 Because Can't Use Number 12 In Suwon FC

JAKARTA - Suwon FC's new player, Pratama Arhan, chose the number 23 jersey to navigate the 2024 K-League 1. He must be willing not to be able to wear his favorite number, 12.

As is known, number 12 is an identical number with Pratama Arhan when defending the Indonesian national team.

However, his wish could not be realized in Suwon FC. You see, Arhan realized how important number 12 is and has a deep meaning for the K-League 1 team.

"Actually, I want to use the number 12 jersey. However, the number 12 shirt in Suwon FC has been dedicated to supporters and retired. So, I wore number 23," said Pratama Arhan when met by Media Day with Suwon FC in Senayan, Central Jakarta.

The 22-year-old player began to strengthen his choice to use the number 12 jersey since defending the U-23 Indonesian national team. The jersey number has been worn forever and has become the hallmark of Arhan in the national team until now.

However, Pratama Arhan has used various numbers during his football career. He was recorded as having worn number 11 while defending PSIS Semarang.

This number was also his identity when he was in the U-20 Indonesian national team uniform.

Then, when he moved to Japan to defend Tokyo Verdy, he made his choice to number 38 for two seasons there.

This means that this is the first time Arhan has chosen the number 23 jersey.

Meanwhile, Pratama Arhan admitted that the election number 23 in Suwon FC had no special meaning.

However, if it draws back, the number 23 is the same number as the marriage year of Arhan with Azizah Salsa, which is August 20, 2023.

"Yes, I don't know, the reason (elect number 23). I'm also confused. So, yes, just use the number 23 jersey," said the left back with a laugh.
