Urung Berkandang Di Jakarta, Persija Pilih Bali Untuk Hadapi Laga Kandang Kontra Madura Dan Dewa United

JAKARTA - Persija Jakarta is faced with another challenge ahead of facing two of its closest home matches, Madura United and Dewa United. The club, the pride of Jakarta residents, cannot hold a match in the capital city and must pull over to Bali.

The closest match that the Kemayoran Tigers will play is to host Madura United, on Thursday 22 February. After that Thomas Doll's team will go away to Arema FC headquarters on February 26 and return to face Dewa United as home game on March 3.

However, on the two cage agendas, Persija Jakarta cannot appear in its hometown, Jakarta. They were forced to play far from the capital city due to the 2024 General Election (Pemilu).

Official information regarding the Persija home stadium for the next few weeks has been stated in the circular #24 PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) as the operator of Liga 1. This was also conveyed by Ambono Janurianto as President Director of Persija.

"The situation in the capital city does not allow for a home match. Meanwhile, other stadiums in Jabodetabek are still in the renovation stage," said Ambono Janurianto in an official statement on Wednesday, February 14.

"This forces Persija to look for alternative cages and the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, to be the most likely location," he explained.

Bali was chosen as the temporary location for the Kemayoran Tigers with considerations between the two home matches, Persija will visit Arema FC headquarters which is also on the Island of the Gods. A more efficient distance is a consideration for maximizing the recovery moment.

"We consider Bali to be the most ideal location for Persija's temporary home on February 22 (vs Madura United) and March 2 (vs Dewa United)," he added.

"Because, on February 26, 2024 Persija will be away vs Arema FC in Bali. So in the three matches period, the team settled in Bali so that it was very good for the recovery of players," explained the director explaining.
