Chelsea Returns To Dusan Vlahovic, Juventus Asks For High Prices

JAKARTA - Chelsea still want to bring in the forward. After loaning Armando Broja to Fulham, Chelsea then targeted Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic. However, Juve asked for a high price for Vlahovic.

Chelsea already have two forwards, Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku, who were bought during the start-of-the-season transfer market.

Meanwhile, Romelu striker Lukaku was loaned to AS Roma. Furthermore, Broja has also just been loaned to a neighbor next door, Fulham.

This is what makes Chelsea look for a new striker. However, this West London club is aiming for Vlahovic again. Previously, Chelsea had indeed targeted this Serbian national team striker.

According to the plan, Romelu will be exchanged for Vlahovic at the start of the season. However, the scenario was canceled. Lukaku was then loaned to Rome.

Chelsea have also made an offer to Juve to recruit Vlahovic. However, the Blues offer is still below Juve's request to label 90 million euros or IDR 1.5 trillion for the transfer of the 24-year-old player.

Juve set a high price because the purchase of Vlahovic was expensive. Juve brought the player from Fiorentina for 80 million euros in January 2022. Meanwhile, Vlahovic's contract at Juve only expires in 2026.

In addition to expensive purchases, Vlahovic is in demand by Atletico Madrid. This made Vlahovic's hunt quite tight because Atletico showed the seriousness of recruiting the player.

Despite setting a fairly high price, Juve also plans to release his players if they don't reach Vlahovic's new salary deal.

The reason is, Vlahovic will receive a salary increase automatically from 8 million euros to 12 million euros. However, Juve objected to Vlahovic's high salary.

The club offers a salary increase of 10 million euros, including bonuses. While the contract is extended until 2028 or 2029.

Vlahovic himself showed impressive performance this season. He scored six goals from the last five Bianconeri matches in Serie A 2023/2024.

In total, he has scored 12 goals for 21 games Juve. Vlahovic is in second place in the top score under Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez, who has scored 19 goals.
