South Korea's certainty of securing a place in the quarter-finals of the 2023 Asian Cup cannot be separated from their slick appearance. Facing Saudi Arabia at the Education City Stadium on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 in the morning, they won on penalties.

Having held back the Saudi Arabia series 1-1 to the 90th minute, Jurgen Klinsmann's team finally confirmed victory in the penalty shootout with a score of 4-2. Two Saudi Arabian executioners, namely Al-Najei and Ghareeb, failed to carry out their duties.
