Justin Hubner Believes In The Quality Of The Indonesian National Team, Optimistic To The 2023 Asian Cup Fall Fase

Justin Hubner is optimistic about the Indonesian national team for the last 16 of the 2023 Asian Cup (doc. PSSI).

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team will play the last match of Group D of the 2023 Asian Cup against Japan. The party which was held at Al Thumama Stadium on Tuesday, January 24, 2024, was a crucial match.

The results of the Indonesia vs Japan national team will determine the qualifying for the last 16 of the 2023 Asian Cup.

Of course, favoriteism leads to Japan which is inhabited by many star players. However, this condition did not make the Garuda Squad inferior.

Justin Hubner, one of the Indonesian national team players, emphasized that the prediction on paper could not be used as a reference for assessing the results of the match later.

According to him, the Indonesian national team is in high motivation to make history to qualify for the first 16 of the 2023 Asian Cup.

So far, Shin Tae-yong's team have prepared optimally to achieve slick results when they meet Japan.

"We will now prepare for the match against Japan. We will train hard and ensure that we are ready to face them," said Justin Hubner.

"First, we need to focus on ourselves for the match against Japan. We have to get good results against Japan," he said.

Justin Hubner further did not deny the fact that the Blue Samurai were strengthened by a number of top players who appeared in elite European leagues.

However, he believes in the quality of the Indonesian national team. According to the 20-year-old player, the Garuda squad players were no less than the Japanese troops.

"We watched their (Japan) match last week. They are a strong team, consisting of world-class players. Many play in the Premier League. This will definitely be a difficult match," said Justin.

"However, we also have strong players, so we will do anything for Indonesia and hopefully it will end well," he said.

As is well known, Japan has players who play in the Premier League, such as Wataru Endo (Liverpool),manfaat Mitoma (Brighton & Hove Albion), and Takehiru Tomiyasu (Arsenal).

"Of course we are also targeting to qualify for the next round. I hope we can qualify before competing (against Japan). We'll see what happens," said the Wolverhampton Wanderers U-21 player.
