IBL Collaborates With Pelita Air Ahead Of The 2024 Competition Season

JAKARTA The Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) welcomes the new season 2024 by announcing cooperation with Pelita Jaya Air.

The announcement of the cooperation took place at Senayan Park, Jakarta, Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at noon WIB. The cooperation will last until the end of the national basketball highest caste competition.

IBL President Director Junas Miradiarsyah said that this collaboration could be established because of IBL's success in recent years. He explained that to improve the progress, there needs to be new partners who can support it.

"Untuk berkembang perlu bermitra bukan hanya untuk kebutuhan kami di sisi basket, tetapi juga memberikan kesempatan kepada mitra untuk bisa mendapatkan manfaat secara bisnis," kata dia.

Through this collaboration, Pelita Air will support the mobilization of contestants from one city to another to undergo matches. Moreover, this season the match format is home-to-home since the regular round.

This format automatically makes the contestants have to move around the city to undergo away matches. However, through this collaboration, this need will be made easier.

Junas said that this format makes transportation one of the important keys. Intercity connectivity will be made easier by cooperation.

"This season will be full until the final is supported by Pelita Air. So, the club's flight for away matches will be supported by all of Pelita Air," he said.

Pelita Air's President Director, Dendy Kurniawan, welcomed this collaboration. He said he would give free tickets to IBL players and officials.

The free tickets given per team for each departure are 25 people to cities reached by the airline.

"We Pelita Air are very happy and proud to be the official airlines partner of IBL in the 2024 season. So, we will provide free tickets for players and officials for away matches," he said.

IBL this season will start on January 13, 2024. The first match to mark the opening of the competition was the host of Bali United Basketball vs Amartha Hangtuah Jakarta at GOR Purna Krida, Bali.
