Promotor Confirms Anthony Joshua Vs Francis Ngannou

JAKARTA Former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua will enter the ring against former UFC world heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.

The boxer's promoter, Eddie Hearn, via Twitter officially confirmed the fight. These two names will clash in the nearest March in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

"Tonight we confirm that this is a complete deal! @anthonyjoshua v @francis_ngannou will fight on an amazing night in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, a press conference on January 15 in London with complete details to be released soon!" Joshua tweeted.

Joshua is in his best form after dominating and stopping his opponent Otto Wallin in December. It was his third win since losing twice in a row against Oleksandr Usyk.

Before that duel, Joshua was in the big plan against Deontay Wilder in the next fight.

Unfortunately, Wilder even lost against Joseph Parker in the same fighting card in Arabia.

After failing to fight Wilder, Filip Hrgovic's name came out.

Joshua vs Hrgovic is set to fight for an IBF title that may be empty after Usyk vs Tyson Fury's first duel for world champions was undisputed.

However, with the emergence of Ngannou, it is possible that the duel against Hrgovic would be carried out afterwards.

On the other hand, this duel is an opportunity for Ngannou to strengthen his belief that his victory over Fury was not a coincidence.

Ngannou previously made an impressive boxing debut against Fury on 28 October. At that time, he successfully hit the fall of the WBC belt holder even though he still lost through a separate decision.

Thus, if they manage to win over Joshua then Ngannou will have the opportunity to fight for the world title.
