David Alaba Calls Knee Injury Currently The Toughest Challenge In His Career

JAKARTA - David Alaba was seriously injured when Real Madrid faced Villarreal on December 17, 2023. He had to undergo surgery to cure him.

The Austrian was diagnosed with a left knee anterior ligament. He successfully underwent surgery on December 19 at a hospital in Innsbruck, Austria.

The doctor said Alaba took months to fully recover. He is expected to miss the rest of the game this season.

Alaba is clearly disappointed with the conditions she is experiencing. He took out his heart through uploads on Instagram.

According to him, this serious knee injury is the toughest challenge in his football career.

"It took a while for me to process what happened last week. I've faced several challenges in my career, but this may be one of my toughest challenges."

"However, I will not only accept this challenge. I will face it directly and reach the top of the mountain," wrote Alaba.

David Alaba didn't want to give up. Luckily, he has the closest people who always support him, including colleagues at Real Madrid.

"Thank you to my teammates, Real Madrid, friends, family, and everyone for your love and support," said Alaba.

David Alaba is an important pillar in the Real Madrid defense. Since moving to the Santiago Bernabeu in 2021, he has always been Carlo Ancelotti's first choice.

This year, the 31-year-old was selected for the 10th time as Austria's Best Footballer. He is indeed the most successful Austrian footballer in history.

The Austrian national team certainly hopes that Alaba can recover as soon as possible so that they can participate in Euro 2024 which starts in June 2024 in Germany.
