Argentine Model Becomes Victim Of Harassment By Former Wimbledon Finalist

JAKARTA - Araceli Torrado, a model from Argentina, submitted an order for detention to his ex-girlfriend who is also a finalist for Wimbledon, David Nalbandian.

The 30-year-old model had to take legal action after her ex-girlfriend abused her. Nalbandian was caught putting a hidden camera in Torrado's apartment.

According to Torrado's confession, the camera was secretly used by Nalbandian to shoot his ex-girlfriend after they separated, especially when the model was naked.

As reported by The Sun, Torrado appeared in court to report his complaint, accusing Nalbandian of harassment and stalking.

He also demanded the confiscation of the electronic device of the former Argentine professional tennis player.

"Nalbandian filmed me and recorded me for enough time to get my recordings and pictures naked and other private moments involving me, my family and my friends."

"I feel panicked and anxious about what he has on his phone or on the app."

"We want a court order to confiscate its electronic devices," Torrado said in The Sun.

Previously, Torrado's complaint was canceled because there was insufficient evidence. However, the model's appeal was accepted after his lawyer filed a request to cancel the court's initial decision.

The camera, which is controlled by Wi-Fi, was discovered when Torrado's brother saw the light behind the air channel and opened the lid in June 2023. The discovery was complemented by video evidence.

Nalbandian had a chance to argue. He told his ex that he didn't see anything due to internet problems.

"I feel relieved to know this has been known to the public and the justice system has heard me," said Torrado.

The court's decision on Araceli Torrado's request is expected to be announced before Christmas 2023.

Meanwhile, David Nalbandian was the former world number three in 2006 and played in the 2002 Wimbledon final which he lost to Lleyton Hewitt.

Nalbandian became one of the tennis stars in the 2000s. He won 11 single tournaments and as he performed in the Wimbledon final 21 years ago, he also reached the semifinals at least once in three other Grand Slams.

After retiring from his tennis career, he began to rally. At least, he has made one appearance at the World Reli Championships.
