The Controversy Of Persiraja President Present In The Tribune During The PSSI Komdis Sanction Period

Persiraja's President, Nazaruddin Dek Gam, was seen in the stands during the PSSI Komdis (Instagram/@persiraja_official) sanctions.

JAKARTA - The presence of Persiraja Banda Aceh President, Nazaruddin Dek Gam, while watching his team compete in the first round of Liga 2 2023/2024 caused a commotion. This even made the PSSI Executive Committee (Exco), Arya Sinulingga, emotional.

Nazaruddin Dek Gam was previously known to have attended the spectator stands during the Persiraja Banda Aceh match against Sada North Sumatra FC at the Baharoeddin Siregar Stadium on Saturday, November 25, 2023.

In fact, it is known that Nazaruddin was sanctioned not being allowed to accompany the team for five matches.

Dek Gam was previously found guilty by the PSSI Disciplinary Committee (Komdis) for intimidating and saying harsh words to the match equipment.

The incident occurred when Persiraja faced North Sumatra's Sada FC on September 30, 2023. The decision was taken through a session of the PSSI Disciplinary Committee on October 5, 2023.

Komdis PSSI imposed sanctions for Dek Gam in the form of a suspension of a five-match ban and a fine of Rp. 22.5 million.

"S suspension sanctions prohibit participating in matches of five matches and a fine of Rp. 22.5 million," PSSI wrote in the decision of the Komdis trial on the official website.

Since the decision was taken on October 5, 2023, Dek Gam should not have come to watch the match between PSDS Deli Serdang and Persiraja Banda Aceh on October 14, 2023.

Then, Persiraja vs Semen Padang (21/10/2023), PSPS Pekanbaru vs Persiraja (6/11/2023), Sriwijaya FC vs Persiraja (13/11/2023), and Persiraja vs PSMS Medan (18/11/2023).

However, Dek Gam was seen still watching the match when Persiraja hosted Semen Padang. In addition, he also came when Persiraja visited Sriwijaya headquarters.

Finally, he was present in the stands when he hosted PSMS Medan which led to chaos with attacks on PSMS players.

Through uploads on Persiraja Banda Aceh's official account, it can also be seen several times that the team president is present and sitting with spectators in the stands. Supposedly, in some matches the sentence is still counted.

Looking at the digital footprint, it was proven that Nazaruddin Dek Gam did not comply with the PSSI Komdis decision. This then went wide and went viral because Dek Gam was seen being scolded by Exco PSSI, Arya Sinulingga.

Regarding the presence of the team president in the match against Sada North Sumatra FC, referring to the deadline for the last sanction, Nazaruddin Dek Gam's sentence has actually been completed in November 18, 2023.

However, judging from the evidence of his presence in the previous match, Dek Gam was clearly considered to have violated the PSSI Komdis decision.

However, the presence of the President of Persiraja then sparked debate. Is the arrival of Dek Gam in the stands as spectators included in the "ban on participating in matches" as decided by the PSSI Komdis?

You see, the word "participate" in the decision can have a broad meaning, including not being a match audience.
