Losing To Everton, West Ham Failed To Shift Manchester United

JAKARTA - West Ham failed to take advantage of opportunities when playing at home in the English Premier League. In a duel at London Stadium, Sunday, October 29 evening WIB, West Ham lost 1-0 to Everton and failed to replace Manchester United.

West Ham have not been able to rise since a 2-0 win over Sheffield United, last September 30. After that victory, they drew 2-2 against Newcastle United and then West Ham were eliminated by Aston Villa 4-1.

Unsatisfactory results in a row put the Hammers stuck in the middleboard with 14. The defeat to Everton also thwarted West Ham's attempt to remove MU, which is one strip above it.

Unlike Everton, which gets an additional three points which is very meaningful. Moreover, it was achieved in away matches.

The victory made The Toffees further away from the relegation zone. Now, they are pocketing point 10 and are ranked 15.

Everton is already five points ahead of Luton who occupies the top position of the relegation team.

The match itself is a draw. Both teams attacked each other even though no goals were created throughout the first half.

In the second half, the situation changed because Everton played more aggressively. As a result, only six minutes later, Everton managed to break into the host's goal through Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Calvert-Lewin also reached the milestone by scoring Everton's 50th goal. He also ranked fourth as the club's top scorer after Romelu Lukaku (68), Duncan Ferguson (60) and Tim Total (56).

Calvert-Lewin's goal was the only one created in that match. Everton also closed the match with a 1-0 win.
