World Boxing: Sure He's Still The Best, Saul Canelo Alvarez Pede Beats Jermell Charlo

JAKARTA Saul Canelo Alvarez is very confident that he will win the match for the true super middleweight title (75 kg), against his opponent Jermell Charlo. The duel between Mexican and American boxers will be held at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas on September 30, 2023.

If they manage to beat Charlo, Canelo will be the first boxer to successfully defend four world championship belts, WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO three times in a row.

I always want to present the best fight. That's why I have ambitions to win the duel later. So far, the Charlo brothers have always been curious to feel my abilities. Now Jermell is the one who gets his turn," Canelo said as quoted by Fightnews.

Jermell has a twin brother, Jermall. Both of them pursue the profession as professional boxers and have the status of champions. The difference is, Jermell won the junior middleweight (69 kg) while Jermall controlled the title in the middle class (72 kg).

I'm always sure that right now is still the best. Confidence is something very important in boxing. Right now there are only a few great boxers who I haven't faced, including the Charlo brothers. Jermall's turn will come, because I haven't thought about retiring yet," said Canelo again.

Together with the coach who has been in charge since the boy, Eddy Reynoso, Canelo Alvarez trained in Lake Tahoe, the Sierra Nevada Mountains region. Practice at the height is done to increase stamina.

This is Canelo's first time practicing at Lake Tahoe. In the last five years, he has always trained in San Diego, California in preparation for a fight.
