JAKARTA - The U-23 Indonesian national team squad returned to their respective clubs after making sure to qualify for the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup finals. Assistant coach of the Garuda Muda squad, Nova Arianto, left a message for the players.

Nova expressed his gratitude for the hard struggle of the players during their appearance in the qualifying round. Through uploads on his social media account, Nova then advised the players not to be proud of the success this time.

On the other hand, they must continue to improve their abilities for a better performance in the next struggle. The former Persib Bandung said that the journey of the U-23 Indonesian national team was still at the lowest level.

"Thank you players for all the hard work, it's time to return to your respective clubs, keep your heart down," said Nova Arianto.

"And National Team players must be a role model for other players because apart from having to work harder during the competition, players must be able to increase their level of play," Nova wrote via her personal Instagram, Wednesday, September 13.

"One month is full of struggle and we believe everything needs a process to get to this point. But it must be understood that we are currently at the lowest level and will continue to strive to continue to increase the level of Indonesian football," Nova added.

The message was emphasized by Nova Arianto because he wanted the tradition of winning in the U-23 Indonesian national team not to fade after the players returned to their respective clubs. The reason is, during his appearance in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup qualifiers, the young Red and White players were able to show their best quality.

During his appearance in the qualifying round, the U-23 Indonesian national team managed to score at least 11 goals in two games without conceding. This is one of the proud achievements for the Garuda Muda Squad and must be continued.
