Conor McGregor Gives Guidelines On Duel Against Michael Chandler At UFC 296

JAKARTA UFC star Conor McGregor gave directions that he would board the octagon against Michael Chandler in UFC 296. The fight will take place in mid-December.

The hint was shared by McGregor in a recent post on Twitter. The post, which is in the form of a screenshot from the UFC Fight Pass, shows the two of them will duel on the nearest December 16.

Image shared by McGregor was originally posted to social media Reddit by one of the users. However, the show page does not currently appear on UFC Fight Pass.

Thus, it can be concluded that the image shared by McGregor is not confirmed information. The image was shared by the Irish fighter to heat up rumors of his duel plans against Chandler.

Recently McGregor is indeed in the plan to return to the octagon. Chandler is also on the desired list of opponents by the 35-year-old mixed martial artist.

Although it is uncertain when he will return to fight and choose Chandler as an opponent, McGregor earlier this month said he would have a duel against the former Bellator champion in December.

According to several reports, McGregor is likely to get an exemption from drug testing for the duel. This is because until now he has not been included in the USADA drug testing list.

In fact, if he follows the rules then he must submit at least two negative samples for six months before competing. The deadline is clearly not possible if he makes a comeback later this year.

McGregor himself last appeared in July 2021 in Las Vegas when he suffered a broken-leg horror defeat against Dustin Poirier. Since then, he has been planning a comeback match.

Meanwhile, Chandler last fought at UFC 281 in November last year. He also lost against Dustin Poirier via a rear-nake submission.
