Targeted By Al-Nassr, Alisson Setia At Liverpool

JAKARTA Liverpool's number one goalkeeper Alisson Becker has dismissed rumors linking him to Saudi Arabian clubs. Alisson confirmed his loyalty to the Reds this season.

The opportunity to play at Anfield made the Brazilian goalkeeper known as one of the best goalkeepers in the world. Over the past five years, Alisson has managed to help Jurgen Klopp's team win six trophies.

He is also an important element of Liverpool when he won the Premier League and Champions League titles. Therefore, Alisson was tied to a long-term contract until 2027 after extending his contract two years ago.

Mercato's Foot claims that Alisson is the target of club Cristiano Ronaldo, Al-Nassr, who this season also managed to get Alisson's former partner, Sadio Mane. The 30-year-old goalkeeper is said to be tempted by an offer from Al-Nassr, to catch up with Mane, Jordan Henderson, and Fabinho who decided to leave for Saudi Arabia.

However, a report from Anfield Watch said Alisson was still happy at Liverpool and had no plans to leave the club anytime soon. The report also denied any contact between Al-Nassr and Alisson.

Alisson is Jurgen Klopp's number one choice in goalkeeper position since being brought in from AS Roma five years ago. In addition, he has also settled with his family at Liverpool. This factor is said to be Alisson's consideration of remaining loyal at Anfield.

Alisson collected 103 clean sheets from 232 matches in Liverpool uniform, and won two English Premier League Golden Hand Glove awards. Last season, he recorded 14 clean sheets in 37 Premier League games, although Liverpool had to be knocked out of the top four of the standings.
