Persib Lends Castillion To Italian Club Belonging To The Djarum Group, Como 1907

JAKARTA - Persib Bandung officially loaned Dutch striker Geoffrey Castillion to Serie C Italian League club Como 1907 as there is no certainty regarding the implementation of the Indonesian League 1 competition.

Quoted on the club's official website, Tuesday, Geoffrey's loan period starts from February 1 to June 30, 2021.

Como 1907 is a club owned by the Djarum Group. Through SENT Entertainment LTD, Djarum Group acquired Como 1907. With this closeness, there was no steep way for the two parties to reach an agreement.

The player born in Amsterdam, May 25, 1991 signed a cooperation contract with Persib on February 10, 2020 with a duration of one year, plus an option to extend for one year. For Castillion, Persib is his first club in the Asian region.

At the start of his journey in Indonesia, Castillion performed brilliantly by scoring two goals in three matches that had been undertaken. He is in the ranks of the best duet with Wander Luiz.

Unfortunately, PSSI and competition operators have to stop the competition when the 2020 League 1 has just entered its third week. In fact, the competition was finally permanently terminated after there was a brief discussion about it.

The Indonesian League 1 competition has yet to find a bright spot when it will be held again. A number of suggestions have surfaced, such as those held after Idul Fitri and following the European schedule.

However, PSSI cannot confirm when the competition can actually be held. Never mind planning, they have not yet obtained permission from the police, making it difficult to schedule competitions.
