JAKARTA - Former Formula 1 (F1) boss Jean Todt is married to Hollywood actress Michelle Yeoh. The couple married in Geneva, Switzerland, on Thursday, July 27, after being engaged for 19 years.
Todt met the Oscar winner in Shanghai, China, in 2004. The former Ferrari boss then proposed to his idol less than two months later.
Brazilian racer Felipe Massa shared a series of photos of the couple's wedding on Instagram. "Happy marriage, Jean Todt and Michelle Yeoh. Love you very much," wrote Massa.
A number of photos show Michelle looking beamed as she hugs Todt. Michelle, who wore two costumes at the reception, even took her Oscar award to the intimate ceremony.
The crowd also shared a photo of an invitation card, which read, "We met in Shanghai on June 4, 2004. On July 26, 2004, JT proposed to MY and he answered YES!"
"Today after 6992 days on July 27 in Geneva surrounded by loving family and friends, we are very happy to celebrate this special moment together," continued the invitation.
Todt thanked his close friend Michael Schumacher for the nearly two decades-long romance.
In 2004, Todt looked at Michelle for the first time and immediately fell in love.
