Haaland On Odegaard: He Will Have Fun At Arsenal

JAKARTA - Martin Odegaard has completed his transfer process from Real Madrid to Arsenal. The Norwegian national team player will spend six months in North London before returning to the Spanish capital in the summer.

Responding to the midfielder's move, his Norwegian teammate Erling Haaland said what Odegaard needed right now was playing minutes.

The Borussia Dortmund striker believes that the Real Madrid loanee can appear as a playmaker for the Gunners. He also believes what his compatriots lack is consistency.

"It will be interesting because Arsenal is a great club in England," Haaland told VG as reported by MARCA, Thursday, January 28.

"Their football is a little different, but I think he can adapt to Mikel Arteta's system in the No.10 role. There he can have fun.

"He has to go out there and start playing. That's what he needs."

Halland emphasized that he and his colleagues in Norway know very well the quality of Odegaard. He said, never doubt Odegaard when he is at his best.

"When he is confident with the ball, we know the most extraordinary things can happen. He needs consistency," he concluded.
