Chelsea Officially Released Koulibaly To Al Hilal, Young Senegal Players Meeting

JAKARTA - Chelsea officially released defender Kalidou Koulibaly to Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal. The English Premier League club is also rumored to have completed the transfer of Senegal's young player, Nicolas Jackson.

Koulibaly officially joined Al Hilal on a three-year contract until 2026. This announcement was made through the club's official Instagram social media with a video containing several actions of the player and also when wearing the club's blue uniform headquartered at Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Stadium.

"We will continue to make history together," wrote the club's official announcement, Monday, June 26, WIB.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano via his official Twitter account, the Senegal national team player was brought in from Chelsea for 23 million euros.

Officially moving to a Saudi Arabian club, Koulibaly has only had a career in the Blues for one season since being signed from SSC Napoli in the 2022/2023 season for 38 million euros, as reported by Transfermarkt via Antara.

The defender who was born on June 20, 1991 appeared 32 times in all competitions with two goals and one assists while strengthening the club based at Stamford Bridge.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are reported to have completed Jackson's transfer from Villarreal with a value of 32 million (around Rp612 billion).

The 22-year-old scored 13 goals last season in his debut season at Spanish club Villarreal. He scored nine goals in his last eight games, as Yellow Submarine finished fifth in La Liga last season.

According to an Athletic report, the Senegal forward has completed a medical test and Chelsea will soon announce the player's transfer.

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano said the player had signed a long-term eight-year contract at Stamford Bridge.

Previously, the Blues had confirmed Christopher Nkunku's arrival from RB Leipzig for 53 million after the French player signed a pre-contract agreement in December last year.
