Pencak Silat Who Didn't Stop Donating Gold Medals For Indonesia At The 2023 SEA Games

JAKARTA - The pencak silat sport continues to donate medals to the Indonesian contingent at the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia, Wednesday, May 10.

Three medals were successfully presented by pencak silat athletes after previously earning seven medals. The three additions are in the form of two gold medals and one silver.

One gold medal was won by Muhammad Zaki Ziryptah Prasong who fell in the men's B-match class. Meanwhile, another gold was won by Tito Hendra Septa Kurnia who was in class E.

"GOLD 32 FOR INDONESIA! Congratulations to Tito Hendra Septa Kurnia from the Pencak Silat sport who succeeded in presenting a gold medal for Indonesia in the Men's Tanding Class E number," as reported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports's social media account.

Meanwhile, one additional silver medal from this sport was presented by Bayu Lesmana who fought in the men's under 45 kg match.

Previously, the first gold medal for pencak silat today was won by Iqbal Candra Pratama who competed in the men's F-match class (70-75 kilograms). He defeated Malaysian athlete Mohd Syahrul Zeckry Sulaiman.

The next gold was won by Jeni Elvis Kause who went down in the women's C-match class. He beat Vietnam's athlete, Nguyen Thi Cam Nhi, who won the silver medal.

Khoirudin Mustakim did not want to be left behind. Down in class A (45-50 kg), he defeated Filipino athlete, Dines Daisg Dumaan, in the final.

While the fourth gold medal was won by a beautiful athlete, Atifa Fismawati. He silenced Malaysian athlete, Siti Shazwana Invite, in class D (60-65 kg).

"GOLD 29TH FOR INDONESIA! Congratulations to Atika Fismawati from the Pencak Silat sport which succeeded in presenting a gold medal for Indonesia in the Women's Tanding Class D number," wrote the Twitter account of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

In addition to the four golds, pencak silat sports also contributed three silver medals. This medal was presented by Safira Dwi Meilani (class B), Muhammad Yachser Arafa (class C), and Suci Wulandari Jambak (under 45 kg).

Meanwhile, the tennis soft sport also contributed one gold medal for Indonesia, Wednesday. The medal was presented by Dwi Rahayu Putri who played in the women's singles number.

It's a shame that Muhammad Bhakti Anugrah was unable to participate in playing in the men's singles. He had to settle for a silver medal.

With this addition, the Indonesian contingent is now collecting 32 gold medals at the 2023 SEA Games.
