Fun! All 2023 SEA Games In Cambodia Can Be Watched For Free

JAKARTA - The Cambodian government as the host country of the 2023 SEA Games has decided to make all match tickets free for spectators, as well as television broadcasting rights, with applicable terms and conditions set.

For this policy, the Chef de Mission (CdM) of the Indonesian contingent at the 2023 SEA Games, Lexyndo Hakim, admitted that he would coordinate with the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) Phnom Penh regarding the wishes of Indonesian citizens (WNI) in Cambodia who wanted to directly support the struggle of national athletes in the multi-event event.

"The Cambodian government has indeed decided to free all match tickets. We will also coordinate with the Indonesian Embassy in Phnom Penh, because of course there will be Indonesian citizens who want to support watching the Red and White athletes' struggles while there," Lexy said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 1.

Not only free all match tickets and television broadcasting rights, the regulation also allows fans to watch live the opening and closing ceremonies of Southeast Asia's biggest sporting event at no cost.

Furthermore, for delegates participating in the tournament, there will also be no fees at all. Participants' team officials can also enjoy free food and accommodation. This has been released by the 2023 SEA Games Local Committee (CAMSOC) recently.

The policy is given evenly to fans, delegates, and advertising partners. This step is a milestone in organizing the SEA Games, as Cambodia became the first country to make everything free.

The 2023 SEA Games Cambodia took place May 5-17. The opening ceremony itself was held on May 5 while the closing ceremony was May 17.

However, there are several sports that will start the match, on April 29, such as football. There are 36 sports and 1 additional new sport that will be held.
