Mario Aji's All Efforts To Realize Expectations To Win Points In Moto3 United States

JAKARTA - Indonesian racer, Mario Suryo Aji, brings great hope during the United States Moto3 race in COTA, Austin, this weekend. The Honda Team Asia champion has high expectations for points.

Mario has his second year in the Honda Team Asia uniform in the lightest class of the MotoGP world championship and will try to emphasize progress in the third race of the 2023 season.

"I arrived at Circuit of the Americas in a much better condition than last year," Mario was quoted as saying on the team's official website.

"Physically I work hard, and regarding driving, I feel better too," said the 19-year-old racer, as reported by Antara.

Mario has not yet won points in the opening two races following the 18th place in Portugal and has not finished the race in Argentina.

On his debut last year, Mario finished 26th in the standings with a collection of five points, one of which he finished 14th in Mandalika, Lombok.

"In Argentina, I miss a great opportunity to score points. To achieve it in Austin will be complicated, but the team and I will do my best to achieve this goal," said Mario Aji.

As revealed by Team Manager Hiroshi Aoyama, Austin Circuit (COTA) with a track length of 5.513km is a fairly large circuit compared to other tracks on the calendar.

"This is very challenging for drivers and mechanics when they will tune their motorbikes," said Aoyama.

"Mario and Taiyo (Fuusato, teammates) showed progress, I want to see what they can do at this circuit. I want to see the results they got. Everything is positive and arrives at Austin with good enthusiasm," he concluded.
