The Condition Of The U-22 Indonesian National Team Ahead Of The 2023 SEA Games

JAKARTA - The U-22 Indonesian national team coach, Indra Sjafri, revealed the condition of his squad in preparation ahead of the 2023 SEA Games. He admitted that the team's development was very satisfying.

So far, Indra Sjafri has often held team training at night considering the agenda took place during the month of Ramadan. However, the coach explained that all players could undergo the training materials provided.

"The team is in good condition, the players are showing good progress. What is clear is that we still have promotions and relegation for players, because only 20 players can be brought," said Indra Sjafri about his team as quoted from PSSI's official website on Wednesday, April 5.

Indra Sjafri himself entered the names of several Indonesian U-20 national team players who had been disbanded. They are expected to increase the variety of options.

"We also summoned three U-20 players, namely Hokky Caraka, Daffa Fasya, and I Made Tito to join the U-22 team," said Indra Sjafri.

The Garuda Nusantara squad itself has reportedly prepared a trial agenda before competing in the 2023 SEA Games. Indra said his team would meet Lebanon twice.

If there are no obstacles, the two trials against Lebanon will take place on April 11 and 13 in Jakarta. PSSI also launched two other trials, but potential opponents cannot be ascertained.
