Marc Marquez Realistis Facing The 2023 MotoGP Initial Series, Tak Muluk Kejari Podium

JAKARTA - The inaugural MotoGP 2023 series will be held at the Algarve International Circuit, Portimao, Portugal, this weekend. Repsol Honda racer, Marc Marquez, has no grandiose target in this first series.

The six-time world champion doesn't think of a podium, let alone a win. He seems to realize the latest RC213V bike hasn't been able to bring him to realize that target.

"Right now we can't think about the podium or victory, especially here, at Portimao. In the end, the championship is still long, we are working hard. I need to improve myself," said Marquez.

This unpreparedness was caused by various team activities to repair the engine and motorcycle settings. The many changes that occurred made Honda not yet mature in carrying out the desired concept in the race later.

"We changed a lot of things. We changed the technical director, then there were new ideas, then we only worked on concepts. The only day I worked for myself and with the right bike was the last day at Portimao," he said.

"Honda and the team are working. The last day at Portimao is not bad, we are getting closer. At the speed of the race, we were able to do it close to the top people, even though on our single lap we were still very far away, especially with Ducati racers," he continued, as quoted from Antara.

Marquez later said that Ducati was a strong candidate to win the 2023 MotoGP. He said the Italian factory team had complete riders, technical teams, and motorbikes.

"It is clear that Ducati now has a very strong package. All Ducati riders are strong, but Pecco (Bagnaia) is the fastest. We are far from them but we are even further away from Pecco who was very fast in pre-season. We are still working hard," said Marc.

"Let's see how the race is this weekend, but especially in the next few races," he said.
