Gervonta Davis Against Ryan Garcia Held April 22, 2023

JAKARTA A hot duel between Gervonta Davis boxers against Ryan Garcia will certainly take place on April 22 at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, United States.

The schedule was just announced by Premier Boxing Champions and Showtime on Monday, March 6 yesterday. This is the second time each boxer has fought in the arena.

Davis and Garcia previously announced the date of their fight on February 24. The announcement was made through their social media.

At that time, the two revealed their duel would take place on April 22 or a week later than anticipated.

Actually, April 15 is a targeted date for their game during prolonged negotiations.

After the schedule is set, Davis and Garcia will participate in two press conferences this week to promote their upcoming fight in the 12 rounds.

Davis (28-0, 26 KO) and Garcia (23-0, 19 KO) will face each other on Wednesday in Manhattan. They will then fly to Los Angeles to participate in a press conference on Thursday in Beverly Hills.

They will then return to their training camp to continue preparations for the biggest fight in the boxing calendar in the United States this year.

Previously, Raiders' Allegiant Stadium and the MGM Grand Garden Arena were also taken into consideration. However, the organizers then approved the T-Mobile Arena as a duel arena.

The T-Mobile Arena can accommodate around 22.000 boxing enthusiasts or about 5.000 more than the MGM Grand Garden Arena nearby. MGM has also often been an uncountably large boxing match venue since it opened in 1993.

Meanwhile, the Allegiant Stadium has not held a boxing event since its opening in 2020. The place can actually accommodate more than 70 thousand boxing fans.

Davis and Garcia have never previously been the opening events at the T-Mobile Arena. However, both of them had fought there as undercards when Floyd Mayweather and Canelo Alvarez fought.

Davis got into the ring at T-Mobile in August 2017 when he won knockout (KO) in the eighth round over Francisco Fonseca, undercard duel Nathan Cleanly vs Badou Jack for WBA's lightweight heavyweight title and Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Conor McGregor duel.

Meanwhile, Garcia felt T-Mobile when he beatIMinar Luckey with a technical knockout in the second round of undercard Saul Canelo Alvarez vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in the same year.
