Atletico Madrid Knocked Out Of The Copa Del Rey Event, Simeone: We Will Find A Solution Next Year

JAKARTA - Atletico Madrid collapsed embarrassingly from the Segunda B club (Division 3) Cornella. Atletico Madrid's defeat took place in the Copa del Rey on Thursday, January 7 in the morning.

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone admitted that he was resigned to his future after his team lost. Atleti itself has often found it difficult at this event in recent years. "We will find a solution next year if I am still here," said Simeone, quoted by VOI from Marca.

"Football is very changeable, but you have to be open to all possibilities. We have to be open to whatever the club decides," he continued.

Atletico were eliminated by Cornella by a score of 1-0 and it was the worst match for Simeone in his coaching career at Atletico. Even so, he also praised his opponent's abilities.

"We always try to win but the opponents are better, like last year. We had chances but they started very well," he added.

Diego Simeone said that "if they are better than your team then you should congratulate them".

In the match earlier today, the coach from Argentina made several changes to the starting eleven. However, he did not consider the players who played to lose that opportunity.

"It's too early to give an opinion, the emotions now are about results," says Simeone.

"They all give their all, but sometimes it works and sometimes not too much," he continued.
