JAKARTA - Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo said Tuesday he will enjoy his team's special match against AC Milan, which he has played for in more than 400 appearances as a player. He wants to raise hopes for a tenth consecutive Serie A title for Juve.

Juventus on Wednesday travel to Milan who are now top of the Serie A league. Pirlo's own team are fifth in the standings or 10 points behind Milan and have played fewer matches.

Pirlo, while looking forward to the match at the San Siro where he played for 10 years between 2001 and 2011, cited the importance of the title race for Juventus.

"Tomorrow will be a special night for me, having experienced many memories with Milan," Pirlo said in a press conference quoted by Antara, Wednesday, January 6.

"That's amazing as a player and I think it would be the same as a coach."

"We know the importance of this match. Milan-Juventus are always interesting as players and as coaches. We will do our best, but I don't think the game is decisive for the rest of the competition."

Meanwhile Milan coach Stefano Pioli, who previously confirmed Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still recovering from injury, responded to Pirlo about the importance of the match in the title race.

"Compared to last year we have 17 points more, obviously our performance level has improved," Pioli told a news conference as reported by Reuters.

"While I don't want to dampen enthusiasm or not be ambitious, it is not right to talk about turning points or the match on Matchday 16 because we face every game as if it were the last."
