Defend The 2023 Proliga First Round Champion, Pertamina Fastron Women's Team!

JAKARTA - The first round of the 2023 Proliga is not over yet. However, the status of the first round champion in the women's sector can already be known who it belongs to.

The Jakarta women's volleyball team Pertamina Fastron made sure to win the first round after perched at the top of the Proliga 2023 standings with 13 points.

The success of the star-studded team was confirmed by victory against Jakarta BIN in the third week of the first round at the PSCC venue, Palembang, South Sumatra, Friday, January 20. In that match, Jakarta Pertamina won with a score of 3-1 (21-25, 25-14, 25-18, 25-20),

"We won the first round because (the score gap) certainly could not be chased by our closest competitor Bandung BJB Tandamata," said Pertamina Jakarta manager Widi Triyoso to reporters after the match.

This is because Bandung BJB Tandamata is currently ranked second with a total of nine points. If Halim Suseno's team manages to win one match, the remaining match against Jakarta Electric PLN, they can only collect 12 points.

So automatically the Bandung BJB Tandamata points still cannot exceed Jakarta Pertamina Fastron which performed prime throughout the first round.

"We have predicted this result to see the cohesiveness of the team, but, I ask the children to keep a low profile," he said, for this achievement his team was entitled to coaching money worth Rp. 30 million.

Meanwhile, head coach of Jakarta Pertamina Fastron Eko Waluyo said, in addition to the complete and capable composition of players, playing fun is the main key to winning his team.

"Discipline during training is certain. But playing without pleasure makes them more confident, that's what I always apply," he said.

Eko hopes that this first round title can make Yolla Yuliana and her friends more excited in the next round in order to win the Proliga 2023 title.

"The closest our focus is then penetrated fantastic four, this momentum must be maintained," he said.
