Is It True That Captain Barcelona Follows Cristiano Ronaldo To Al Nassr?

JAKARTA - Barcelona captain Sergio Busquets has reportedly been on the recruitment radar of Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr. He is targeted for the 2023 summer transfer market, but Barcelona are still holding him.

The 34-year-old footballer will actually meet the end of his contract with the Blaugrana at the end of the 2022/2023 season or 30 June.

Towards the shorter contract period, Busquets was eyed by Al Nassr. The rich club nicknamed Fariz Najd is interested in adding to the line-up of star players after making Cristiano Ronaldo the team's first ambitious project.

However, quoted by Barca Blauganes, Wednesday, January 18, Busquets was not interested and rejected the offer. Busquets had no intention of accepting an offer that would give him a salary of 20 million euros or IDR 326 billion.

Likewise with Barcelona, which is still the official owner of Busquets. The club claims that no agreement from Al Nassr has yet been reached by the club.

Although he refuses Al Nassr, it does not mean that Busquets has no intention of leaving Barcelona. He began to consider looking for a new club.

However, Busquets will only do so at the end of his contract. During Busquets' willingness, Xavi Hernandez as coach and president Joan Laporta also continued to try to offer him a new contract.
