Dear Son Heung-min, Antonio Conte Waiting For Your Goals Again

JAKARTA - Tottenham Hotspurs manager Antonio Conte urged star player Son Heung-min to be able to score again. This situation arises because the manager feels Son is experiencing an appearance crisis.

In 24 appearances this season, the South Korean has only scored six goals and two assists. Son has also scored just one goal in the last 11 games.

The goal was created when Tottenham fought Crystal Palace in a 4-0 victory on January 4.

When compared to the past season, Son's performance clearly decreased. Previously Son successfully scored 25 goals and 10 assists in 45 matches.

Son's goal drought situation clearly did not help the movement of The Lily Whites. Especially now that the team's graph has decreased after winning only five of the last 10 matches and losing four times.

This situation makes Conte feel Spurs will really need Son to return to his brilliant performance and start scoring goals again.

"Obviously if we talked about Sonny (Son Heung-min), last season he scored 24 goals. This season not too much," Conte said as quoted by Football London on Wednesday, January 18.

"For us this is not good news because we rely on his goals so we expect him to be sharp again," he continued.

Although he hopes Son will score again, Conte realizes the player is also just an ordinary person whose performance is not always the same.

In the near future Spurs will carry a mission to rise when they visit Manchester City headquarters on Friday, January 20 in the morning WIB. At that moment Conte felt Spurs needed Son to start scoring goals.

"This is football. We have to try to deal with the situation with the players. The most important thing is that I watched during training sessions and matches that Sonny was doing his best," explained Conte.
