Already Married To A Long Contract, Potter Now Instead Has Not Met Chelsea's Expectations

JAKARTA - Chelsea's goal of bringing Graham Potter to Stamford Bridge is very clear, bringing the team back to glory, especially in the English Premier League.

But what is the power, hope is not what expectations are, at least until now. Potter is now Chelsea's second manager with the worst record in his first 11 Premier League games.

In fact, he is arguably the worst in 30 years.

In the first 11 games in the Premier League, Potter recorded four wins, three draws and four defeats. He has only gained 15 points since taking over Chelsea from Thomas Tuchel's hands.

Actually, the start of Potter's campaign with Chelsea went well. He won his first three Premier League games as manager with three points over Crystal Palace, Wolves and Aston Villa.

Everything has become more complicated since then, with the Blues only winning one of their last eight league wins. They lost to Brighton, Newcastle, Arsenal and last Manchester City.

Only Ian Porterfield and Glenn Hoddle had a worse start as Chelsea bosses in the Premier League era.

Both won three wins, four draws and four defeats. The late Scot Porterfield was sacked in 1993, replaced by Tottenham Hoddle legend - who went to become England manager three years later.

Guus Hiddink became Chelsea's best manager in the first 11 games in the Premier League. He presented 28 points while serving as manager of the Blues with nine wins, one draw and one loss.

Currently, the club from West London is now in 10th place in the Premier League standings with 25 points. They are 10 points adrift of Manchester United who are in the final position of the Champions League.

Potter was given a five-year contract by the new owner of The Blues, Todd Boehly, in September. She will have a big job of rejuvenating her team and keeping everyone vigilant.
