Real Madrid Escape To The Last 16 Of The Copa Del Rey, Isn't It Through The Football Game?

JAKARTA - Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti said he was happy with the victory achieved in the Copa del Rey over Cacereno on Wednesday, January 4 in the morning WIB. The victory at the Principe Felipe Stadium led Los Blancos to the round of 16.

In that match, Real Madrid won 1-0 over the hosts. El Real's single goal was contributed by Rodrygo Goes in the 69th minute.

Although happy, Carlo Ancelotti assessed that the victory was not achieved through a football match. This is criticism from the coach regarding the field matter. The former Juventus coach felt that the field situation made it very difficult for both teams to present interesting spectacles for supporters who came to the stadium.

"You can't play football. For me this is not football, this is another sport," said the Italian coach about the field situation, quoted from Live Score on Wednesday, January 4.

"It's fun because a small team can fight and compete with a bigger team. That's good for fans. But fans also want to see a good match," he continued.

Although Ancelotti considered the course of the match unsatisfactory because of the field conditions, the coach said he was happy with the way his team played. According to him, the Los Blancos players had complied with what he wanted.

"This is an unusual game we do. I like everything, from the first to the last minute, I know we have to suffer," he said.

"We are not taking any risks, the defensive line is fine, clean sheet, everything is fine," added the former AC Milan and Chelsea coach.

Ancelotti then gave a thumbs up for the hosts' performance. "They played very well. They pressed high, we didn't have a chance to handle the ball well," concluded the 63-year-old coach.
