JAKARTA - The number of coaches who disrupted after the 2022 World Cup has increased again. The latest is Czech Michniewicz.

Czechlaw Michniewicz left his post as coach of the Polish national team. He became the ninth World Cup manager to leave his job.

In fact, the 52-year-old coach only took over the job in January 2022. He replaced Paulo Sousa.

He managed to lead Poland through the World Cup group stage for the first time since 1986. However, he was eliminated in the last 16 phase.

A goalless draw against Mexico, a 2-0 win over Saudi Arabia, and a 0-2 loss to Argentina made Poland runner-up in Group C.

They then fought defending champions France in the round of 16. They fell with a score of 1-3 and ended the campaign in Qatar.

The result made the Polish Football Federation not renew Minniewicz's contract which expires by the end of 2022. This was confirmed by Poland's FA President, Cezary Kulesza.

"On behalf of the PZPN board, we would like to thank Czech Michniewicz for 11 months working as a coach. As we know, the coach took over the team at a very difficult time," Kulesza said, as quoted by The Sun.

"Despite these circumstances, he managed to win World Cup qualifiers, and also maintain our place in the elite League Nations."

"He also led the national team to the knockout stages of the first World Cup in 36 years. For this, Czeslaw Michniewicz deserves thanks."

Prior to Michniewicz, many coaches had left their posts after the 2022 World Cup.

Luis Enrique left Spain following defeats in the last 16 to Morocco. Meanwhile, Fernando Santos was expelled after defeat in the quarter-finals.

Then Tite left the Brazilian national team following a failure in the last eight at Croatia. Meanwhile, Belgium's slump in the group stage ended Roberto Martinez's career.

Dutch boss Louis van Gaal, Gerardo Martino of Mexico, Otto Addo of Ghana and Paulo Bento of South Korea are the people who also released their positions at the end of their World Cup campaign.
