Carlo Ancelotti Increases The Chances Of Joining Brazil's National Team

Carlo Ancelotti mempercak kemungkinan meninggalkan Real Madrid dan menjalani peran baru sebagai pelatih tim nasional Brasil.

The Italian was reportedly included in the main candidate to replace Tite after Selecao was eliminated disappointed from the Qatar 2022 World Cup quarter-finals.

Tite himself has announced his resignation from his role after the penalty shootout defeat against Croatia. His contract with the Brazilian national team has also run out.

"Coach Brazil? I don't know what will happen in the future, I live in this moment. I am older and I feel good at Madrid, we still have a lot of goals to achieve," Ancelotti said.

The former AC Milan coach returned to Real Madrid ahead of last season and immediately emerged as one of the key figures in the midst of his impressive period of the Spanish capital club.

He successfully led them to the Spanish La Liga doubles title and the European Champions League. Meanwhile, they are currently second to Barcelona's rivals in the La Liga standings.

He opened the door to become coach of the national team before retiring later. However, he also emphasized that currently the most important focus is still with Los Blancos.

"There is time to think about the future. I have a contract that expires in 2024 and if Real Madrid doesn't fire me before that, I won't move," he added.

The name Ancelotti as a prospective Brazilian coach has the support of the legend Ronaldo Nazario de Lima. The player who won the 2002 World Cup wanted Ancelotti, Pep Guardiola, or Jose Mourinho to coach his country.

"I don't see a problem with him becoming a foreign coach with Brazil. Now there will be a big discussion about the Brazilian coach's future, I see these names are very profitable," he said.
