Doll EMPHASIZEs Persija Jakarta Eggakhilangkan Poin Kontra PSIS

JAKARTA - Persija Jakarta coach Thomas Doll emphasized that his team was reluctant to lose points against PSIS Semarang in the 14th week of the Indonesian League 1 match at Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman, Tuesday night.

Doll explained that he had evaluated his foster children from the previous match, where Persija Jakarta had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Persik Kediri.

"I have spoken to the players about their game against Persik. The players also have criticism of their own game. After this I hope we can play even better football," said Doll, quoted from Antara, Tuesday.

The German coach added that Persija Jakarta had prepared itself and is now more focused on recovering due to the busy schedule of matches.

Furthermore, the former Italian League club player Lazio hopes his team can appear all out in the match against PSIS because victory is the only way to compete at the top of the Indonesian League 1 standings.

"As we know because of the tight schedule of matches, we don't have much preparation. Maybe the preparations are the same as other teams where they focus on recovery. But we had light training for 45 minutes yesterday (11/12) and today (12/12)," said Doll.

"In my opinion, every League 1 team match always has to give the best in every match and show a strong mentality. I said that the match against PSIS would be a difficult match," he concluded.

Currently, Persija Jakarta is in fifth place in the Indonesian League 1 standings with 25 points from 12 matches, 11 points from PSIS Semarang who are in 12th position.
