Arsenal It Is Recommended To Buy Cristiano Ronaldo To Be Gabriel Jesus' Coating For Injury

JAKARTA - Arsenal is deemed necessary to sign Cristiano Ronaldo in the January transfer window. The former Manchester United player could be Gabriel Jesus' cover who may be absent for a long time due to injury.

Gabriel Jesus suffered a knee injury while defending his country in a 0-1 defeat to Cameroon in Qatar's final Group G World Cup at the Lusail Stadium, Saturday, December 3.

In that match, Jesus played from the first minute before being pulled out in the 64th minute. The Brazilian striker was replaced by Pedro.

This injury means the 25-year-old is expected to be out for three months or not playing until at least March 2023.

The news is clearly a blow to Arsenal who are currently still leading the top of the Premier League standings. For that, manager Mikel Arteta needs to find a way out for his team's attacking line.

If Jesus' report is absent for three months, Arteta will be without number 9 players to face an important match as domestic football competition resumes.

Currently Arsenal still has Eddie Nketiah who is the only striker of the same type as Gabriel Jesus in the squad. Therefore, the London team is considered to need to look for an attacker when the January transfer window is less than a month away from opening.

One of the names to consider for purchase is Ronaldo. The Portuguese superstar has left Manchester United and is now a free agent in the January transfer window.

The future of the 37-year-old at Old Trafford ended after his controversial interview with Piers Morgan. The Red Devils were furious after that and decided to terminate the contract for the owner of the five Ballon d'Ors.

With the status as a free transfer player, the possibility of Ronaldo joining Arsenal is quite open. The former Real Madrid player certainly would not refuse if he was in demand, especially since he had also praised the Gunners.

"I love this team. I love the coach. I think they have a good team. And if Manchester United doesn't win the Premier League, I'd be happy if Arsenal does," Ronaldo said.
