JAKARTA MotoGP has officially released the official test schedule for the 2023 season. The Mandalika Circuit in Indonesia is not on the list of the five circuits to be used.
The announcement was made by MotoGP on their official website on Thursday, October 20. The first test will take place at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit, Valencia, just two days after the final series of the season ended in the same place.
Then the two pre-season tests will continue in Sepang, Malaysia, and Portimao, Portugal. Rookie Augusto Fernandez is confirmed to have met the requirements for Sepang Shakedown.
Sepang Shakedown will take place from February 5 to 7, while Sepang tests will be carried out from February 10 to 12. Meanwhile, Portimao will take place from March 11 to 12.
After that, two official MotoGP tests take place in the season. Both of these tests will be held after the Spanish Grand Prix at Jerez on May 1 and then after the San Marino Grand Prix at Misano on September 11.
Meanwhile, personal tests for Moto2 and Moto3 took place at Circito de Jerez-Angel Nieto. The test for Moto3 will be held from March 9 to 10, while Moto2 will be held from March 14 to 15.
The official 2023 pre-season test will then take place in Portimo. Both Moto2 and Moto3 underwent tests from March 17 to 19.
There will also be an official one-day test for the Moto2 and Moto3 classes after the Spanish Grand Prix and the British Grand Prix. The Jerez test for Moto2 and Moto3 will be held on May 2, then the Silverstone Moto2 and Moto3 tests on August 7.
